Rivers & Waterways

Water managment is the process of planned human intervention in the course, characteristies or flow of a river with the intention of producing a defined benefit. Humans have intervened in the natural course and behaviour of rivers since before recorded history to better manage water resources, to protecting against flooding.

Channelisation of rivers and waterways are managed with the use of precast structures, natural bulked material and the encouragment of natural growth along river banks and walls.
